(Wk3) SAME PAGE...?

A lot of times MARRIAGES struggle is because we are clearly NOT on the "SAME PAGE!"

Get this... SAME PAGE with GOD = SAME PAGE with your SPOUSE!

If you're in a Marriage that's not on the SAME PAGE - there's a good chance that you're not on the SAME PAGE AS GOD! (This MUST happen first!)

If you're not on the SAME PAGE with God - please know this right now...

HE'S NOT GOING TO CHANGE HIS MIND ABOUT YOU!

He’s never going to say “YOU'RE RIGHT and HE’S WRONG!” (There is no middle ground!)

Have I mentioned... SAME PAGE with GOD = SAME PAGE with your SPOUSE!

If you can get that then you also need to know this...

REBELLION always happens when you and I – QUESTION THE WORD OF GOD!

Understand this please...

God's Sacrifice for YOU and ME on the CROSS allows those who were marked for DEATH the ability to walk away in FREEDOM!

This is called RECONCILIATION!

Truly understanding RECONCILIATION and what Jesus did for you allows you the ability to clearly see the potential of RECONCILIATION with your Spouse!

The most important thing in regards to PARENTING is not WHAT WE DO... but WHO WE ARE as a PARENT!

First Step to "NOTW" Parenting... LOVE

One of the best things you can do for your children is LOVE your husband or wife!

Second Step to "NOTW" Parenting... TIME

Have you taken the TIME to SHARE CHRIST with your child?

You don't have enough TIME not to do it!

Third Step to "NOTW" Parenting... DISCIPLINE

How do we instill HONOR into our Children?

Proverbs 1:7... Start with FEARING THE LORD!

If I can accomplish nothing else but this thought with my children - I believe that I'll have succeeded... “I’m not sure WHAT my parents were doing or thinking sometimes!? But I always knew my Dad and Mom LOVED ME and LOVED JESUS!!"

The Real Idea behind the Prodigal Parable is this... WHAT WE DO IN RESPONSE TO JESUS’ ACTIONS FOR THOSE WHO ARE LOST!

PRODIGAL PARABLE... Everyone must one day decide – whether you will have the HEART OF THE FATHER or THE HEART OF AN OLDER BROTHER?

THE HEART OF THE FATHER IS ALWAYS PREOCCUPIED WITH THE LOST SON!

-The Older Brother is preoccupied with the thought… WHY DID HE CAME HOME?

THE FATHER OPERATED FROM A PLACE OF FORGIVENESS AND ACCEPTANCE!

-The Older Brother operated from a place of SHAME and CONDEMNATION!

THE FATHER LEFT THE LIGHTS ON AND THE DOORS UNLOCKED!

-The Older Brother Shut the Lights Off and Locked the Doors!

OUTREACH...

The Older Brother will say… "THAT STUFF COSTS TOO MUCH!!”

The FATHER will say…“IT COSTS TOO MUCH NOT TO DO IT!!”

So GRATEFUL today that... GOD’S RECKLESS GRACE IS MY GREATEST HOPE!

Your SIN is more than breaking Rules and Laws – it is more about breaking our RELATIONSHIP with Jesus!

The Father in the Prodigal Son Parable LET HIS SON GO - that's LOVE!

He knew that real LOVE only POSSESSES what it RELEASES!

Most of us aren't SQUANDERERS but WANDERERS!

We flee LEGITIMATE AUTHORITY only to be enslaved to ILLEGITIMATE AUTHORITY!

Know this about God... When you give HIM and INCH - He will give you a MILE!

The eyes of MERCY are quicker than the eyes of REPENTANCE!

However FAR AWAY from God you may feel - know this...

SLOW are the steps of REPENTANCE - but SWIFT are the feet of HIS FORGIVENESS!

Wanna come HOME?

Then grasp this... REAL REPENTANCE is accepting the consequences of ur SINS and allowing GOD to make a RIGHT out of YOUR WRONG!

GOD... Excessively - Extravagantly - Immoderately -- RECKLESSLY SPENDTHRIFTS… ALL HE HAS ON US!
