(Wk4) WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

All Christ sees in PEOPLE is someone in need of HIS LOVE & FORGIVENESS! And YOU'RE His Method of communicating it!

The SIMPLICITY & CLARITY of this BIG IDEA - “FOLLOW ME” – was what catalyzed a MOVEMENT of Christ Followers into Action! GOING is Action!

“FOLLOWING always follows REPENTING!”

A truly REPENTANT heart FOLLOWS and then GOES FISHING!

Mt 4:20 'AT ONCE' they left their nets and followed him!'

There are no questions - there is no second-guessing to GOING!

To FOLLOW – meant to FISH!

To FISH – meant FOR MEN!

The first APOSTLES knew what it meant to GO!

Jesus said... “FOLLOW ME… I WILL MAKE YOU FISHERS OF MEN!”

JESUS said… 'I’m gonna make YOU what you AREN’T!'

IT’S NOT ENOUGH JUST TO FOLLOW! FOLLOWERS… FISH!!!

Fishers for MEN - ACTION - GOING and making Disciples - The great COMMANDMENT!

GROWING... The purpose of TEACHING is not for DISPENSATION but rather for APPLICATION!

SPIRITUAL MATURITY (Growth) is RELATIONAL - not INTELLECTUAL!

-Discipleship to me is about turning an Audience into an ARMY!

Spiritual Growth is INTENTIONAL - You CHOOSE to GROW!

-You are only as close to God as you CHOOSE to be… STOP blaming others!

Spiritual Growth is INCREMENTAL - it doesn't happen overnite!

Spiritual Growth is PERSONAL - we're shaped by GOD! (2 Cor 5:13)

Spiritual Growth is HABITUAL - becoming habitually like CHRIST!

Spiritual Growth is RELATIONAL - you can only grow in COMMUNITY!

-You learn to LOVE by being around unLOVELY people!

Spiritual Growth is MULTI-DIMENSIONAL - it's done by DOING not KNOWING!

Spiritual Growth is SEASONAL - no Bible Character was always ON!

-What you do when you're DOWN will determined what you do the next time you're UP!

Acts 2:14-47... GATHERING is what Good People do in response to a GREAT GOD!

GATHERING is a TOTAL TEAM EFFORT or it’s a LIMITED EFFORT at best!

IT’S DONE TOGETHER… NOT APART!!

What you see each week at COC is the ONE MORE DEGREE of EFFORT of SEVERAL that BECOMES what you SEE -- GATHERERS that GET IT!

Christ said…“Upon this rock I will build MY CHURCH."

We are a part of HIS CHURCH - NOT OURS - HIS!!

Family Focus... (Christmas 2010)

What can I say... do the years slow down at all as we we get older!? Another year is gone - another Christmas is over - don't blink... next week you'll be putting up Christmas 2011 Decorations!

2010 has been a year of discoveries for me - a lot of deeper soul-searching and learning experiences in which I have totally filed in my memories to draw again from in the future! I am thrilled to see what God has done and I look forward to seeing what He will continue to do through me in 2011! I am reading Sun Stand Still (Steven Furtick) to kick this year off and I'm already being challenged to 'live in the middle of a move of God!' Looking forward to 2011...!

The best thing in my life - in which I want to become better at in 2011 is... being a HUSBAND to an amazing wife - Ginger Leigh! She truly is my 'better-half' and she totally makes me look good! My goal is to make her even more of a priority in my life this year then she ever has been!

The very next best thing in my life - in which I want to become better at in 2011 is... being a DADDY to three incredible little creatures - Isaac / Caleb / Charis! They are amazing little beings and God has blessed me with an incredible opportunity to teach and train them to become prepared-adults! They are growing too fast and I want to take the time from this point on in cherishing each moment with them - while they are still here (and me too) for that matter!
