RESURRECTION WEEK!

What a great week! VICTORY / ETERNAL LIFE / RELATIONSHIP! The single greatest event in human history! THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR GRACE!

It's Spring Break Week @ the Barrett's this week! Nice "SLEEP IN" week! Taking serious advantage of that! Last night was a family night out to the Movies..."HORTON HEARS A WHO" - very good movie, two thumbs up on it from PJ! Caleb loves the movies, it means one thing to him - POPCORN!!! I am in amazement at how the little dude can pack it away like that! Isaac is pretty pumped because we are having a FAMILY CAMPOUT in our backyard tomorrow night! The real deal (Tent/Cookout/Fire/HotDogs/S'Mores) and the beautiful smell of MARICOPA MANURE!!! Gotta love it!

The Bible clearly states in Ephesians 2:8-9… “God saved you by his special favor (GRACE) when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”

Christ DID EVERYTHING NEEDED to provide Salvation for you and me!

He provided…SUBSTITUTION / JUSTIFICATION / RECONCILIATION / REDEMPTION / FORGIVENESS / RELATIONSHIP!

All we have to do is ADMIT (we have no hope without Jesus) / BELIEVE (that He died for our sins and rose again defeating death) / CALL (out to Him for Salvation)!

Maybe that day is TODAY for you?
Maybe it's Sunday?
Whenever it is - make it sooner rather than later!
EXPERIENCE "THE OTHER SIDE OF GRACE" TODAY!!

Well...

As promised, I am back for some more BLOGGING this week! This would mean POST #2 of this week! It's been a very productive week! In-Laws have headed home (not that that is productive!) / Wrote my EASTER MESSAGE, and just about to send Ginger off to our first ever COC Women's Retreat (Extravagant Love) in Williams, AZ! We have well over 30 ladies from the Church heading up for a 3 day Retreat! Should be a great time for them!

Isaac & Caleb are finishing up school today, and next week is SPRING BREAK! Can you believe that they went SWIMMING yesterday in the pool for the first time! Isaac was STOKED! Gotta love the ARIZONA HEAT! It's warming up quite a bit around here! I've been wearing my "FLIPS" again, and you know I love that!

This weekend we are concluding our SOUL STEALERS Series! It's been GREAT! We are launching a new ministry at the COC called CELEBRATE RECOVERY right on the heels of this Series to help those engulfed in a SOUL STEALER! It launches on MARCH 21st, please be in prayer for our LEADERS and those who have signed up!

SUNDAY SNAPSHOT...
I missed last week, so for a recap...WHEN EXPECTATIONS AND REALITY COLLIDE! We focused in on DAVID & GOLIATH! What a great week! We associated the battle of David when he encountered his SOUL STEALER (Goliath) and his planned strategy of attack! He faced it head on and never backed down! We used some info from Max Lucado's Book (Facing Your Giants)! The people recieved this message well, and we had close to 10 people sign up for CELEBRATE RECOVERY!

This week, we conclude the SERIES with a message called...IT'S ALL ABOUT FAITH! We are in the book of DANIEL 3 this week, talking about the "WHAT THEN" moments the Hebrew Boys (Shadrach / Meshac / Anednego) encountered with the psycotic king - Nebuchadnezzar!

Another SOUL STEALER moment that we all face - when head on with our SOUL STEALER, the question we must ask..."WHAT THEN?" THE STEP TO UNDERSTAND IT’S ALL ABOUT FAITH – AND TO TRUST GOD & FIND FREEDOM FROM YOUR SOUL STEALER!

These guys had to MAKE A CALL in the heat of the moment, they had to ‘place there bets’ on the spot, on…THE GOD WHO IS ABLE, or the KING who thought he was!!!

ARE YOU WILLING TO TRUST THE GOD WHO IS ABLE TO CONTROL THE FUTURE?

I'm Still Alive!

I am still here! Missed a WHOLE WEEK! What kind of BLOGGER am I anyway!?

OK..OK..OK! I'm back - even if this one is short! I WILL be back tomorrow for a longer blogspot - with the SUNDAY SNAPSHOT back on schedule!

Forgive me for not 'Showing Up' last week! I gotta admit...I'm not even sure if anyone reads this blog or not - sometimes when I write I just feel like I'm alone on an island by myself (CASTAWAY) - thinking someone might read the message in the bottle I chuck in the ocean!?

SO...If you read this, I'd love to hear from you in a "Comment" from time to time! Let me know WHO you are and WHAT'S going on in your world! A bit of schizophrenia (sp?) creeps in the lonely world of blogging to "WHO KNOWS WHO!?"

Don't worry - I'm not losing it - if it sounds as if I am! I'll be back tomorrow clear minded! I'm just a little DAZED right now - I've been downloading EVERY CD I own into my iTunes Library today and I'm just entranced with the COMPUTER and hypnotized a bit!
